Free exercise animation preview — FAQ

What is included in the free exercise animation preview?

22 exercises from the paid RepDB library, each with a seamless looping animation for both the male and the female character, matching classic stills, and full exercise data — names, instructions, muscles and equipment — in English, German, Spanish and French. The ZIP also carries an offline viewer and a list of every exercise in the full dataset.

Are the exercise animations in the preview free to use?

Yes, under CC BY-NC 4.0: evaluate them, prototype with them, and use them in personal, research and non-commercial projects, with credit to RepDB. Evaluating inside a company is fine. A commercial app or monetized content needs a paid license.

Are the workout animations loopable?

Yes. Each clip is a seamless loop and the WebP file repeats forever, so it plays continuously in a plain <img> tag — no video player and no loop code.

Do I need to sign up to download the preview?

No. The ZIP downloads directly: no account, no email, no watermark on the files.

Why are the animations here smaller than in the ZIP?

This page serves lighter 512px copies so it loads quickly. The ZIP has the same clips at full resolution — the files you would actually ship.

How is the full dataset different from the free preview?

The preview is a sample. The full dataset has all 701 exercises — 544 with looping animations, the rest static holds and poses that ship as stills — in the same format, character style and data schema, with a commercial license.
